Chateau de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 75cl
At Famille Perrin, we are proud to craft Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 75cl, one of the great white wines of the Southern Rhône and a true expression of our estate’s expertise. Produced from our historic vineyards in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, this French white wine reflects the richness of the terroir and our commitment to biodynamic viticulture.
On the nose, we seek precision and complexity, with aromas of ripe stone fruit, pear, white flowers, and subtle honeyed notes. On the palate, this Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is both powerful and finely balanced, combining a rich texture with freshness and vibrant acidity, leading to a long, elegant finish.
We craft this wine primarily from Roussanne, a grape variety we have long championed at Château de Beaucastel, supported by carefully selected Rhône varieties. Each parcel is harvested and vinified with care to preserve purity, balance, and the distinctive character of our vineyards.
Château de Beaucastel Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a refined French white wine that pairs beautifully with lobster, scallops, roast poultry, creamy sauces, and fine vegetarian dishes. It also has excellent ageing potential, developing further complexity and depth over time.

White wine production at Château de Beaucastel is a true rarity, with just 7 hectares of white grape varieties planted on our historic estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The principal variety is Roussanne, making up 80% of the blend, complemented by Grenache Blanc and other Rhône whites. These low-yielding vines are rooted in an exceptional terroir composed of Miocene-era molasse seabeds, covered by the iconic rolled pebbles (galets roulés) of alpine origin, renowned for storing heat and reflecting it back to the vines, aiding ripening and contributing to the wine's complexity.
The 2022 vintage was shaped by striking climatic contrasts. A mild and exceptionally dry winter and spring, with January and May among the driest on record since the early 20th century, led to excellent vine health, completely free of disease. Record temperatures in May and June were balanced by a welcome spell of rain in mid-August, allowing for a slower, more even maturation of the grapes. The harvest commenced early, on August 19th, under favourable conditions, although scattered September showers required careful vineyard sorting to ensure only the finest fruit was selected.
Our winemaking process remains rooted in tradition and precision. Grapes are handpicked in small cases and carefully sorted, followed by gentle pneumatic pressing. The juice is then settled before fermentation begins, 30% in oak barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks, to preserve aromatic purity while enhancing structure and depth. The wine is matured for eight months, resulting in a harmonious balance of richness, freshness, and minerality.
The 2022 vintage is already showing great promise: aromatically expressive, beautifully balanced, and built to evolve gracefully in bottle. A true expression of Beaucastel’s timeless elegance and the character of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape terroir.
