Côtes de Provence
Côtes de Provence is a renowned appellation in the heart of Provence, celebrated for its red, white, and most notably, rosé wines, which account for nearly 90% of production. With a winemaking history spanning 26 centuries, Provence is one of the largest and most historic wine regions in Southeast France, covering approximately 20,000 hectares (50,000 acres) of vineyards. Granted AOC status in 1977, the appellation now encompasses 84 communes. The region’s primary grape varieties, Grenache, Cinsault, and Tibouren contribute to its signature dry style, distinguished by vibrant fruit, delicate floral aromas, and characteristic herbal notes.
