Sourced from the historic, sun-drenched dry stone terraces of our estate in Correns, this premium Provence olive oil is crafted from organically grown olive trees. The unique Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, coaxes deep, concentrated flavours from classic regional olive varieties.
To guarantee the highest quality, the olives are harvested with absolute care and immediately cold-pressed. This traditional process preserves the oil's natural antioxidants, vibrant green hue, and complex aromatic profile.
Beautifully balanced and velvety, our extra virgin olive oil opens with delicate notes of fresh grass, raw almonds, and artichoke, culminating in a subtle, pleasantly peppery finish. Terroir of Miraval Olive Oil.
The olive tree is an integral part of the Mediterranean basin’s history, and at Miraval, olive cultivation follows the purest tradition. The estate’s olives are grown on dry stone terraces, known as restanques, which reflect the sun and help the olives ripen perfectly. These traditional terraces, typical of the Provence region, provide an ideal environment for the trees to thrive. The olives are harvested from three distinct areas: Peyrefuguède, the highest part of the estate at 200 meters above sea level, for the Lucques, Caillon, and Aglandau varieties; the south-west facing restanques of the Château, home to the Cailletier, Caillon, Tanche, and local Boursallus varieties; and Entree, the lowest part of the estate at 150 meters, primarily growing Aglandau olives.
Organic Farming & Sustainability.
At Miraval, organic farming practices are employed to ensure that the soil remains supple, airy, and porous, allowing the roots of the olive trees to penetrate easily. This method helps exploit the diversity of the terroir, imparting a unique complexity and balance to the olive oil. The olives are blended with other 100% organic olives from high-altitude terroirs, enhancing the flavor and creating an extra virgin olive oil that reflects the authenticity and purity of its Mediterranean roots. Produced using the first cold pressing, Miraval Olive Oil captures the essence of Provence in every drop.
