Artfully produced by the Tablas Creek winemaking team, this vibrant pink blend sources its fruit from several of the finest independent Rhône vineyards in Paso Robles.
By utilizing a direct press method for ninety percent of the fruit, the winery preserves a gorgeous, translucent pale peach hue and absolute clarity of flavor. The palate is wonderfully lively and mouthwatering, balancing juicy layers of fresh apricot, nectarine, and red berries against a backdrop of chalky minerality and bright tension. It finishes long and clean with a refreshing watermelon-laced finish, standing as an exceptional New World tribute to traditional French style.

Founded in 1989 as a partnership between the Perrin family of Château de Beaucastel and the Haas family of Vineyard Brands, Tablas Creek represents a unique transplant: Rhône heritage, planted on Californian soil.
Recognising the exceptional limestone-rich soils and Mediterranean‑influenced climate of Paso Robles, the partners selected a 120‑acre parcel in the Adelaida District, about 12 miles from the Pacific Ocean. The estate sits at roughly 1,500 feet elevation on shallow, rocky soils of the same geologic origin as those at Beaucastel, a terroir remarkably similar to the southern Rhône.
To preserve the authenticity and genetic integrity of their Rhône varieties, Tablas Creek imported vine cuttings directly from Château de Beaucastel. These cuttings were quarantined under a USDA‑mandated program (beginning January 1990) to ensure they were virus‑free, then propagated in an on‑site nursery. The first grafted vines became available in 1993 and planting across the estate began in 1994.
That careful origin means every vine at Tablas Creek today carries the same heritage as those in the historic vines of Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape, allowing the winery, and by extension wines such as Esprit de Tablas Blanc, to reflect both Rhône tradition and Californian terroir in harmony.
Paso Robles
The Paso Robles wine region, particularly the Adelaida District, offers a climate and soil profile that make it an ideal New World counterpart to the old Rhône Valley: hot, sunny days moderated by cool coastal breezes at night, enabling grapes to ripen fully while retaining freshness and acidity.
Its limestone‑rich, rocky soils, deeply similar to those at Château de Beaucastel, give wines from Paso Robles a distinctive mineral backbone and terroir-driven character, helping to produce wines of elegance, depth, and balance.
The result is a region well suited to traditional Rhône varieties, now flourishing thanks to the pioneering work of Tablas Creek, a bridge between Old World heritage and New World expression.
