At Famille Perrin, five generations of our family have lived by a simple rule: great wine is made in the vineyard, not the cellar. Our Peyre Blanche Cairanne comes from 14 hectares of organically farmed vines set right between Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile Les Vignes. The 2023 growing season gave us ideal conditions, generous sunshine balanced by crisp evening breezes, letting our grapes develop vibrant fruit purity, bright acidity, and natural balance.
We craft this wine primarily from Grenache, grown on a mosaic of clay, gravel, and sandstone terraces. To protect the fresh fruit character we work so hard to cultivate, we age it entirely in stainless steel or concrete tanks. Skip the heavy oak, and you get pure Southern Rhône expression: silky tannins, expressive aromatics, and precise balance in every glass.
When you pour the 2023 vintage, you'll pick up aromas of ripe wild raspberry, juicy cherry, and a touch of wild Provençal garrigue and white pepper. It’s smooth, supple, and fruit-forward, leading to a long, clean finish.
Best served at 18°C. Drink now or age for 3-5 years.

Located between the picturesque villages of Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile Les Vignes, our 14-hectare estate lies on some of the finest land in the Southern Rhône. The soils here, made up of clay, gravel, and sedimentary sand known as ‘safre,’ provide the ideal conditions for growing our vines, producing wines with rich, expressive character.
Our vineyard, acquired in 2008, sits in the heart of the AOP Cairanne region, a place where the art of winemaking has been practiced for centuries. The name Peyre Blanche reflects the unique, chalky nature of the land (‘pierre blanche’ meaning white stone), and it is from this exceptional soil that our wines draw their distinct minerality and elegance.
In 2023, we experienced a vintage marked by wonderful climatic balance. A mild winter gave way to a spring that replenished soil moisture, setting up our vines for a radiant, sun-soaked summer. Hot August and September days were tempered by cool evening breezes, allowing our grapes to mature slowly and reach optimal phenolic ripeness. Harvesting proceeded under warm, clear skies, yielding fruit of exceptional purity, healthy concentration, and vibrant natural acidity. This vintage promises rich, expressive wines with generous red fruit, supple tannins, and a striking freshness.
Our Approach to Winemaking
At Famille Perrin, we are committed to crafting wines that reflect the heart and soul of our land. Our in grapes in Cairanne are grown 100% organically, respecting the natural balance of the environment. Each year, from August onwards, we meticulously monitor the ripening of the fruit, tasting the berries to ensure that we harvest at the perfect moment. After hand-picking, the grapes are carefully sorted before undergoing cold fermentation in stainless-steel vats. This process preserves the bright fruit flavors, while avoiding oak aging to allow the purest expression of our terroir to shine through.
