Famille Perrin Peyre Blanche Cairanne 2022
At Famille Perrin, we believe great wines begin in the vineyard, and Peyre Blanche Cairanne is no exception. Grown on 14 hectares of organically cultivated vines nestled between Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile Les Vignes, this wine is a pure expression of one of the Southern Rhône’s finest terroirs. The 2022 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry growing season, giving rise to beautifully ripe grapes and a wine that’s both generous and elegant.
Crafted predominantly from Grenache, grown on a mosaic of clay, gravel, and sandstone terraces, the fruit ripens slowly, developing an expressive bouquet of red berries, wild herbs, and subtle spice. Aged entirely in stainless steel, this wine retains its fresh fruit character, vibrant aromatics, and silky tannins - capturing the essence of our Cairanne vineyards with precision and grace.
Fresh, fruit-forward and beautifully balanced, this red wine offers aromas of raspberry, cherry, and Provençal herbs, followed by a smooth, supple palate and a refined, lingering finish.
Enjoy with grilled meats, ratatouille, or mature cheeses - perfect for relaxed dinners or more traditional fare.

At Famille Perrin, we have long believed that exceptional wines start with exceptional terroir, and our vineyard at Cairanne is a testament to that philosophy. Located between the picturesque villages of Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile Les Vignes, our 14-hectare estate lies on some of the finest land in the Southern Rhône. The soils here, made up of clay, gravel, and sedimentary sand known as ‘safre,’ provide the ideal conditions for growing our vines, producing wines with rich, expressive character.
Our vineyard, acquired in 2008, sits in the heart of the AOP Cairanne region, a place where the art of winemaking has been practiced for centuries. The name Peyre Blanche reflects the unique, chalky nature of the land (‘pierre blanche’ meaning white stone), and it is from this exceptional soil that our wines draw their distinct minerality and elegance.
In 2022, we faced a vintage full of contrasts, with a mild and dry winter and spring that led to record-breaking temperatures in May and June. Despite these challenges, the conditions allowed for a healthy, disease-free harvest. The summer was bright and sunny, but the timely rains in mid-August ensured that our grapes continued to mature slowly, developing great potential. This vintage promises to be one of aromatic complexity, with beautifully balanced wines full of ripe fruit character and fine tannins.
Our Approach to Winemaking
At Famille Perrin, we are committed to crafting wines that reflect the heart and soul of our land. Our in grapes in Cairanne are grown 100% organically, respecting the natural balance of the environment. Each year, from August onwards, we meticulously monitor the ripening of the fruit, tasting the berries to ensure that we harvest at the perfect moment. After hand-picking, the grapes are carefully sorted before undergoing cold fermentation in stainless-steel vats. This process preserves the bright fruit flavors, while avoiding oak aging to allow the purest expression of our terroir to shine through.
