Crozes Hermitage

The Crozes-Hermitage wines from the north are characterised by their strong structure and excellent aging potential, making them closer in profile to those from Hermitage. In contrast, the wines from the south are generally less powerful and fruitier, designed to be enjoyed at a younger age. The dry white wines from Crozes-Hermitage are fresh and fruity, featuring citrus aromas, and can develop greater depth and aging potential over time. The typical grape varieties for this region include Syrah for the reds and Marsanne and Roussanne for the whites.
